How Can I Lower My Freight Costs

General Info Articles

We understand that many of our customers are not large companies, but are smaller businesses where the office is home-based or in a small office suite. And unfortunately, location is one of the biggest factors when it comes to shipping costs, for UPS or freight companies.

Here at Atlanta Rubber & Hydraulics, we’d like to give you a few ways to help make the shipping as cost-efficient as possible.

4 Ways to Lower Your Freight Costs

Order More Than One Hose Assembly

Instead of ordering 1 hose assembly, order several. It makes more sense to pay $100 for freight for TWO or more $100 dollar items instead of $100 for freight instead of only 1 – $100 item.

Double Check Your Hose Levels

Check with others within your company to see if there are other items they need. Are there items that they see are starting to wear out and will need to be replaced in the near future?

Purchase Extras

This may sound like the opposite of saving, but hear us out. Instead of waiting for that “trouble” hose to fully go out, keep the hose handy for when it does give out.

That way you won’t have to make an urgent order or your business can’t function. Time is money and if you can’t work, you’re losing money.

Pickup Services

Some competitors do not offer pickup services, but we do! 🙂 We offer pickups at any of our locations.

We’ve had out-of-town businesses place orders for pick up with us when they had local jobs and even others when they were passing through!
